Later Gator to the Cache Store

Due to some changes in our world and demands on time, the Cache of Panache store is closing for the time being.  *sniff sniff*  We appreciate ALL our customers and all the support we’ve received!  It was a tough decision, but for now it is the right one.

Check out the store as we’ve lowered prices to move our remaining items.  We will stop fulfilling orders in 3 weeks, so hurry before it’s too late!

Double Trouble

I got the Jack and White album a few weeks ago.  I LOVE it!  The track “Double Trouble” is my favorite track.  When I saw the music video, I love the song even more.  It’s just fun, the style is classic and MODEST!  Enjoy it here.

A Taste of Italy

We like art in our family.  We like art a LOT!  I particularly like water color paintings.  While looking for some art online, I stumbled on to Rita Zaudke’s gallery.  Immediately I was smitten and shared my amore with my hubs.  He fell even harder than I did.  We ended up with this print below – Santa Maria Maggiore Della Neve.

We gifted another print, Juliet’s Balcony, to a very dear person.

When we visit our recipient, I always ask permission to go look at the print.  Both of these prints immediately relax me and make me feel as if, even for only a minute, I am in Italy.

When you order one of Rita’s pieces, she sends it with a handwritten note giving you the story of her inspiration.  I LOVE that!  Rita’s work is worth it.  Please go look through her complete gallery here.  You won’t regret it!

This post is strictly my own personal opinion and I was not paid for it.

Recent Red Carpet Looks

I want Dame Helen Mirren’s genes.  That woman just gets better looking each year, in my opinion.  She has aged gracefully and I really hope naturally as it appears to me.  I thought she looked fabulous in this red Michael Kors dress at “The Debt” premiere. The crescent shaped details at the neck and waist were just enough.

I am not the biggest fan of lace or of all white outfits, but I thought Anne Hathaway looked lovely in this dress at the premiere of “One Day” in Europe.  It’s an Alexander McQueen dress.  AM is becoming my favorite design house quite rapidly.

I really like Hounds Tooth and put it on a shoe?  Yes please.  Evan Rachel Wood looks nice in this black and white outfit while attending the Venice Film Festival.  The outfit is Dolce and Gabbana and the heels are Ferragamo.

And last, I love old school style especially when it’s modest.  I think Madonna’s grey gown by Vionnet is gorgeous!  She is also at the Venice Film Festival.

Why can’t all celebrities dress this stylishly and modestly?

Do you want a Caribbean Holiday?

I have wanted a cork board for a while now but have not been able to find one I really liked.  So I made one.

Online you can find a recipe to make your own chalk board paint.   I used some Olympic latex paint in the shade of Caribbean Holiday to make mine.  The picture doesn’t do the color justice.  It’s quite lovely if I do say so myself 😉  I used two pieces of sheet metal for my magnetic chalk board and then used the same size of cork board to make the “checker board” pattern.  I also found some polka-dot napkins in a similar shade to the paint to modge podge the frame.  I love it!

If you want to take a Caribbean Holiday as well, let me know.  I have the supplies for a second one!

Proud to be an American!

I just wanted to take a minute to thank my Uncle Phil, my cousin John and all the men and women who keep this Country that I love safe.

To Liz A. Howell, thank you for your example of dedicated service these past 10 years. It’s because of people like you that make this Nation great!

I pray that God will continue to bless these United States of America!
